Status

A message from the author of this program:

Status is no longer compatible with a growing range of devices due to various issues. Regrettably, there is nothing that I or any other developer can do to address this problem. If the Play Store indicates that your device is incompatible, I can only suggest that you refer to the links below to understand why it will not function:

Status will continue to receive support for devices running Android Oreo or earlier as long as the community expresses interest.

Status is a replacement for the system-generated status bar that overlays on top of it. This allows the actual status bar to remain hidden, touch gestures unaffected, and the standard notification panel accessible. To properly display information in the status bar, Status requires a significant number of permissions, which are listed below:

• Accessibility Service: Attempts to obtain the status bar color of the currently active app when the 'status bar coloring' preference is enabled.
• Notification Access: Retrieves icons for the current notifications.
• System Alert Window, System Overlay Window: Enables the drawing of the status bar over other apps.
• Battery Stats: Determines if the battery is charging and its current percentage.
• Network State, Phone State: Obtains information about the phone network type and connection, as well as whether airplane mode is enabled.
• Wifi State: Checks if Wi-Fi is enabled and assesses the connectivity strength.
• Bluetooth: Determines if Bluetooth is enabled and connected.
• Location Services: Checks if GPS is enabled.
• Alarm: Determines if an alarm is set.
• External Storage: Enables the backup and restoration of all settings from a file.
